I am living in Mexico and this is my first Af since ds; and i have switched to cloth since having my last af before baby. So back in the states i had a metal pot with a lid to store my mama cloth after i used it...then i would dump the whole pot into the washer....well i'm here and dont have a pot...so i foled up my cloth and set it on the edge of the bathtub....OMG..i went to lay another mamacloth down and lo and behold a long trail of itty bitty ants. I freaked!!! I immediatly hand washed my cloth in hot water and rinsed out...hung out to dry. Re-washed in the washer...dont have hot water to the washer so it was a cold wash. Then i put them in the dryer. Is it safe to use them again? I'm kind of icked out about it....i'm so embarresed about this. I cant throw them away...they were to expensive. WWYD?

I think you'd be fine to use them again...it was likely just a light snack for them (they'd trail back to the nest to lay eggs, right?). Your wash sounds sufficient.
Ants allegedly don't like to crawl over granual stuff (like salt or ground cinnimon). You could think about rigging up some sort of system using that info in your favour.
...and don't be embarassed. Little critters can find their way into anything!

We have problems with ants in the summertime. They really like the upstairs bathroom... where the diaper pail lives. I went to wash diapers one morning and there must have been 20 or 30 of them in there. YUCK! I dumped them into the washer with the dipes because there was no way I was reaching my hand in there (things crawling on me really wig me out). I did my usual cold wash/rinse. Gave it a 2nd rinse then to make sure they were really gone. Then I did my hot wash/cold rinse and life went on.
So I really wouldn't worry about it.
