my toddler has bacterial pneumonia... - Page 3

Just wanted to let you know that you didn't do anything wrong.

I have a friend whose six year old daughter -- fully vaxed! -- got bacterial pneumonia in January and nearly died! She was in the hospital for over a week and is still recovering.

Antibiotics are crucial for pneumonia. It can be deadly if left untreated, so don't feel bad giving them to your baby. Just load her up with acidophillus as she recovers to help replenish her system. Also know that she'll be susceptible to it through her life so keep her good and healthy and don't delay getting her to the doctor if she gets really sick and feverish.

I'm sorry she's so sick. :heart

My dd ahd bacterial pneumonia when she was just 5 weeks old. She healed very quickly (of course had antibiotics) and hasn't had it since. I wasn't actually a MDC mom back then though (didn't even have a computer).

My fully vaccinated nephew had it too when he was maybe 7 (he's 14 now).
