Has anyone made a Lucy bag?

I've heard they are hard to start in the beginning, why? I've only ever knit rectangles before (and only a very few at that). I want something to store my projects in. I was hoping since it was a felted project that it would be more forgiving at hiding minor tension issues or a potential mistake (hopefully none).

Also, I'm thinking it will be a fairly inexpensive project. I want to make the biggest size so 4 skeins of Cascade 220 and needles circs and dpn 10.5. Any suggestions on getting a deal on these items would be appreciated.

Thanks!:

I think my lys has the best deals around- unless you can hit a super awesome sale somewhere....

Although I recently felted some slippers with knitpicks wool of the andes- and that stuff ends up being really cheap- but you would ened like 8 balls of it to equal 4 skiens.

Your LYS does have awesome prices! I ended up getting the WotA because it was cheaper. I got 8 balls of hyacinth, one of avacado, and one of fairy tale. I may do a wide stripe of each and/or of add pockets. I'm going to get this material to line it with: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=18474839 and maybe some of the coordinating fabrics to make project bags.

I wish we had a store around here that had decent yarn and fabric in the same place but we don't. I hope the colors match up well enough.

Holy smokes, this sentence really shows off how intellegent I am or what having 4 young children will do to you. I'm going back to edit it now.

My fav LYS didn't have the Lucy bag pattern so I'll call the other LYS tomorrow. If they don't have it I'll be ordering that too. Maybe I'll make an ISO on Ravelry and see if I can get it that way.
