Since I live in a pro-circ town lucky brendan was born in so.california or i proably would have got the rolls of eye look .
Anyways, a few mom's saying their son's have a loose circ but it's loose at the top and so tight at the bottom the doc said the boys needed a recirc because it's so tight at the bottom supposedly causing the kid pain because it's not retracting during erection.
So then I'm like going even in circumcised boys remaining foreskin doesn't retract automatically so where are they getting this idea that circumcised boys remaining foreskin will retract during an erection ?
So could the possiblity of the actual pain be that the top part moves back while the underside is still attached but I don't see how that could be possible ?
Do doctors know that boys have frenulms under the penis base attached to the foreskin and that some boys with loose circs may have all their frenulms too ?
If doctors are not aware of that could a frenulm be mistaken as an adhesion ?
I just feel so sad for boys going into recircumcision just because a parent got him circumcised then a doctor says he needs another to make him not have that pain but it will more likely make the poor boy feel worse as he gets older.
If parents would just listen to the motto - Leave the foreskin alone- don't worry til you think there is a need to worry .
