has this worked for anyone? i am 14 weeks pg. with my 4th and am determined to nurse this one more than my others. im planning to do the goats rue and all that in the end, but i just feel like i want to do something now. anyone know about progesterone cream? i asked my ob and she knew nothing. my midwife hadnt even heard of goats rue so i guess im on my own now(except for you ladies!) to figure this out. is IGT due to low progesterone levels? if they were low, wouldnt i have miscarried al my babes since progesterone sustains the pregnancy? thanks for any info!

I'm sure other people know far more about this than I do, since I've just started to read about it. My understanding is that at least one correlation between IGT and low progesterone occurs in women with PCOS. I think I read somewhere that low progesterone during puberty can inhibit breast development. I think IGT has other causes as well. Another member on here stated that her IGT was a result of mastitis when she was young. I'm sure you've read the study of the mother who took progesterone during pregnancy and was able to EBF her next child.

In her case it sounds as though low progesterone was the cause of her IGT. Do you have PCOS? Were you diagnosed with IGT? Sorry I'm not much help! Like I said, I bet others on this forum know more than me.

Have you looked at the new Making More Milk book? That was what finally gave me the insight I needed to understand what had caused IGT for me.
