Best carrier for 1 year old

Thread Starter
I have a heavy 1 year old here.
I apologize, just can't find time to read through threads, wish i could.
I have Native Baby Carrier and it just isn't working-
Love the ease of use, but he is too low and does not stay secure.
Need to carry him all day around the house, especially while cooking and playing with JEALOUS 3 year old.
Suggestions?
Thanks SO much!

A back carry with a two shouldered carrier such as a mei tai or a soft structured carrier. If you want quick a carrier with buckles is nice. Ergos are popular.

I would suggest a SSC (soft structured carrier) like an Ergo, or a Mei Tai, like a Kozy or Babyhawk. It sounds like you need a 2 shouldered carrier. You could always go with a woven wrap as well if you don't mind the learning curve associated with them.

Ergo or a Becco.

I love the Mei Tai Babyhawk for kids from 6 mo. to 4-5 years.

Thanks so much.
I had looked into the Ergo, but my concern was that he would not be able to see over my shoulders.
He just is not the kind of child who would be content looking at my back- he has to see what's going on in front. Is that possible with any back carrying carrier, like the Ergo, or other?
I will check out the babyhawk.

Do I see this right?
The Babyhawk would allow him to see over my shoulder (what's in front of me), while the Ergo would not?
Thanks a bunch.

The babyhawk would allow him to see over your shoulder for sure, you put it on just like you want. (As high as you want.)

Yes, indeed, very easy and very quick.

yep, I'd say a Babyhawk (or Toddlerhawk for that age) or an Beco or Ergo.

I use a Toddlerhawk and Beco Butterfly for my almost 2 yr old and both are comfy. Hoenslty, the TH is easier on and off than the beco
