2.5 retracting, now what?

I know there are plenty of sites I could google to answer this question, but frankly I don't have time/patience to sift through them all for the answer

My 2.5 year old intact son just started pulling his. I'm kind of surprised he is doing this now, for some reason I thought we had until age 3 or 4. haah

ANYWAY, I'm looking for advice/suggestions on penis care now. I'm assuming we should start teaching him how to clean it and make sure it is cleaned regularly? I asked my mom what she did with my brother and she said she retracted and cleaned from birth since that's what the docs said to do 30 years ago. EEKS! Hard to believe, huh? So I'm looking for btdt suggestions/advice with more current info than that

He should not need any special care. Just normal playing with himself in the tub will be fine, usually boys do that without instruction. Hehe. Just a swish in the water is fine (no soap).

He is too little to really manage following cleaning instructions, etc. Just leave it alone, you do not have to do any special cleaning. Keep washing off the outside, and let him play with it however he wishes in CLEAN bath water. When he's just a bit older (4-5) you can instill some simple cleaning instructions in him, but before puberty, him consciously rinsing underneath certainly does not need to be done more than occasionally.
