And what foods caused the reflux? Did it completely go away once you found the trigger foods?

for us, soy and dairy and it was as soon as I eliminated, like 1 day but i'm sure it varies. We 1st eliminated dairy but symtoms were not 100% until soy was eliminated too. i read dairy can take awhile to get out of the systems...

My son's reflux was better within days of the elimination diet, was present the next day after a dairy trial, and we've been dairy-free now for almost 4 weeks. He had other symptoms that took almost 3 weeks to clear, but I think the reflux was one of the first to go.
That being said, he still does "spit-up" sometimes, but its not the same. Its like when he gets a little too full and I lay him down for a diaper change, or after a burp and a little milk comes out. I consider that normal for a newborn or very young baby. Its not accompanied by fussy behavior or anything. I don't really call that refluxing. I call it spitting up. As I heard someone once say, its more of an occassional laundry issue than a health issue at this point.

Tomatoes, corn, soy, wheat, berries, cinnamon, cauliflower, cabbage, onions, lemons, limes, citrus, dairy, broccoli, anything processed, ... gosh, we had to eliminate a bunch of stuff. The spitting up continued until we eliminated all of them. It was amazing! When I didn't eat those foods, ds never had to be burped, never was gassy or crying after nursing, never spit up. No more mucousy green poop, no more red anus. After we eliminated wheat, the night wakening diminished significantly.

My ds didn't have reflux, per se, but he did spit up several times a day. They were globby and white pukes and didn't happen right after a feeding. Once we eliminated wheat and eggs (though I suspect his prob is more wheat than eggs), it stopped a day or two later.

We had improvement after lots of things, eggs, soy, seeds, shellfish, artificial colors and always within a day or so. But I decided to try gluten again (I don't think my list was as comprehensive last time I tried it) and we've only had about a teaspoon of spit up. It's barely been more than 24 hours since I last had gluten. But for Casey, that's a record. Plus, he sat on the floor in the living room and played alone for about 10-15 minutes while I got some other things done - that is beyond miraculous!

I tried it for a couple of weeks the first time, and saw zero difference but I'm pretty sure I was still eating seeds and soy at the time. He's dramatically better, but there's still something triggering him to react now. His poop is almost normal - still smells odd, but color and consistency look good. He only spits up a tiny amount once or twice a day. But the screaming, clingy, crappy sleep are still there. They were tied to food in his big brother, so I can't believe they aren't in him either.
I've been eating expensive, supposedly GF oats for breakfast and I'll buy some quinoa or another GF grain at the store today and see if that's it, but I'm really afraid it's corn. The worst day he had since I quit gluten was when we had cornmeal breaded chicken for dinner the night before, plus baby motrin sent him off the deep end and he's seemed to have issues with benadryl in the past.

corn was the biggest issue for DD2. Her "reflux" went away after all the trigger foods came out (and there were a lot). We've gotten some of them back since (and lost others) but corn remains a huge issue. With the benadryl and the motrin, I'd suspect corn too. Though even the dye free motrin, which I don't think has corn in it, makes my DD2 vomit, so I think she just can't tolerate ibuprofin, so there's that to consider as well.
