Displays?

I'm looking for a small tabletop display thingy that can turn, where can I get one? Also, if I'm going into a local store to see if they'll take some of my items in on consignment, do you usually get to use one of the store's display racks or do they expect you to furnish your own?

They'll likely expect you to provide your own displays for your merchandise.

What kind of turn thingy do you mean? Like a flat lazy susan, or like one of those jewelry racks that spin?

something with hooks that spins (like for jewelry)

You can check Store Supply Warehouse or Robert Ham.

When I owned a consignment store, I usually had displays for their items because I integrated them into the store. But I did expect the pieces to be ready for sale. For example the bowmaker had them on cards with any pertinent info.

Hope that helps.

I'll check into those. Have you used them before? Also, I would be curious what you all use when you display your items at a craft show. I'm hoping to do at least one this year. Portability is key for me.

I don't know where you are at but there is a used fixture wearhouse in Minneapolis (sorry thats all i know), all kinds of cool displays. Maybe there is something like that where you are. otherwise we got all our store displays either from a display catalog (I would just google whatever you are looking for) or made them.

Yes I've ordered from both of them. They're very reputable.

Store Supply is usually a bit cheaper, but Robert Ham has the "snazzy" stuff.

Thanks for all the info!! Lots of fun stuff to look at & dream about. I'm in Oregon, so a bit far of a drive to Minneapolis --but, I may scrounge around to see if there's a local resource. Thanks, again, everyone!

Stores that are going out of business or moving often sell off display racks. Sometimes they can be bought at thrift shops (though often the thrift shops put such items into use when they come in.)
