Maybe you guys can help me. I was admitted to the hospital on Friday night with mild preeclampsia. The doctors gave me a steroid shot -- betamethasone spaced 24 hours apart. They told me that it would mess up my blood sugars and since I'm diabetic I'd need to be monitored. They also said that it would mask the symptoms of preeclampsia. I can't find anything online about that, and I was wondering if anyone had any information on it? I had BPs ranging between 140/90-150/100 last week but now, on hospital bed rest, they are running 100/60 ish.
