I don't think Bill slept with Margene before they were married. He met her at Home Plus, liked her and brought her home to the family as the babysitter. My understanding was so that the other wives could get to know her. I never got the impression that Bill slept with her and then brought her home under the guise of being the baby sitter while carrying on an affair in hopes he could have her as his 3 wife.

While I do believe that Margene & Bill slept together before being "married", it was never really clear in the show if they did or not. I think that Nikki believes that they did & Barb does not.

Oh no, I watched this show for the first time, and I'm afraid I'm hooked. Got a lot to get caught up on now.

FINALLY finished watching ep 1. Wow.

I always knew that Margie was my favorite but her performance at the gaming thing solidified it. I'd like to marry her now. She rocks.

I really don't want to see Ana as 4th. She doesn't fit in, she wouldn't work. And Nikki would kill her before long. It does make me wonder if Barb is being written out though. OTOH, I could almost see Nikki being written out, too. She threatened to leave at least three times during that episode.

I'm quite curious to find out about the Teenie thing. 50 cent a minute? Very enterprising.

I agree with you & I really do not care for her either. She seems needy & desperate, characteristics I do not like.

i specifically remember that the other wives asked her and they did NOT have sex before marriage.

I love this show, its just so well written and acted. They play their parts so well. I love Nikki, shes such a sneaky person I dont really think I like Anna. I was so disappointed in Bill

looks like the teenage daughter is leaving the show? She probably wants to continue her film career.

the scene that really got me was barb going over to margies to rock the baby. so emotional.

Me too! I love Nikki, and I'm not a big anna fan-

I'm wondering if Anna is going to end up pregnant or something and have to explain that one to the wives-wouldn't that be dramatic.

Ohh, this was a good episode! Quick thoughts--

Glad Barb is okay.
Lois is crazy (and I love her for that!)
I can't believe about Sarah but I am not surprised, either. I was wondering if she wanted to go away to school so she didn't have to tell her family?
I can't wait to see what happens with Rhonda.
I felt bad for Don- I like him.

I was actually surprised about Sarah. I wonder where she is going to go with it. I thought it was brilliant how the writers made her anti-polygamy and then put her with this guy who is also anti-polygamy yet sleeps with more than one woman and thinks that's fine. I think he's a jerk and I hope she doesn't end up with him.

Nicki drives me NUTS! That scene she created at dinner was so uncalled for.

I'm stressing about Margie's screaming over the baby's crib in the preview! What was that about??? I'm hoping it's just hype. Loved how Margie called Chekote (can't remember his name on the show) on his own bigotries.

Anna is really beginning to bug me. She's not even trying. She wants them to come to her and be like her and is unwilling to be moved. Fine. Then leave, ykwim?

I love that Bill's dad's first wife is the one that hit him over the head with the shovel! That guy is such a jerk. I love Kathy and her twin. They are both so sweet. I'm bummed that it looks like drama is coming their way.

Poor Don. Wasn't it in the first season that his second and third wives were shown playing footsie? Love Peg, though. She is the rock in that relationship.

Now that Barb is okay I wonder how she is really going to feel about a fourth. Was it just me or did she give a "oh crap" look there at the end when looking over the indoor picnic?

It drove me nuts too but I loved the scene where Bill told her that Barb might have cancer again- she got so emotional and upset over it. You could see right there how much she cares for Barb.

I love how Nikki views everything. She see's them as a "catch" (in relation to Anna) whereas almost no one else would. It's just so interesting to see her perspective.

Speaking of...good golly...why is Anna still around? I guess maybe she's like Margene and just really likes the family aspect.

I see them as a catch. Minus the drama, I would totally go live with them. It's like they have their very own little community.

Do the writers seem to be focusing a lot more heavily on the characters' religious beliefs this season? It seems like there has been more attention paid to their religion (Our Heavenly father will provide, etc)so far, whereas last season, their beliefs were a little more assumed maybe? Not sure how to say what I'm trying to say

It does seem like they are being more religious this time around. Honestly though it's a turn off for DH and I. Being LDS we find that they often say things wrong and such which gets kind of annoying.
