STILL don't have a name!

Baby is due any time now and DH and I still cannot agree on a name. I love Lydia, he wants Olivia. I do like Olivia, but it is such a popular name...like a "Jennifer" of our generation. There are tons of little Olivia's around. DH has something against Lydia and won't budge. So....I've made up a new list and would love some input from you ladies. I like names that are not overly used, but at the same time not too unusual. Here are some that I've come up with...tell me what you think, please!

Stella
Callista
Evangeline
Genevieve
Eva

For a middle name, I've been drawn to Faith but am not totally committed to it.

I've always had a soft spot for Cora personally, it was one name we considered this time around. I feel you on the Olivia name, seems like there are a lot,and a lot of them on the way. Honestly it just makes me remember a little girl taken too soon. My second choice would be Stella.

You have great taste in names! Annabelle is beautiful, first off, and I like your whole list.

For you I'm feeling Evangeline Faith. I think it goes well with Annabelle, and there are lots of beautiful nicknames if that's something you're looking for (Eva, Angie, Angelina, Lina, etc.). I like the other names on your list too, but this seems to complement Annabelle the best, while still keeping IMO some of what you and DH like about Olivia and Lydia.

We had 4 boy names on the list and just knew when we looked at him that he was an Owen.

Your whole list is lovely... why not just wait until she's born? I know this is nothing in comparison, but my husband and I had agreed on a name for our puppy before he was born that we both loved. Then the puppy was born and he was just no Napoleon.... had to be Groucho. So we have decided to keep it loose with our upcoming baby. We have a couple of front runners, but we're waiting until we see the little (or maybe not so little if s/he doesn't come soon) one.

I think they're all pretty, Cora is very distinguished, and just lovely, I also really like Genevieve. Have to say Faith is a beautiful middle It's my daughter's middle name! Don't worry, we just decided on our name about 2 weeks ago. It can be really tough.

Funny. We're in a similar pickle on names:
If we have a girl her middle name will be faith.
DH likes Sophia (I think it's too popular, but like it)
Olivia is on our list (same as above, though)
Lydia is in the running, but I have to consult DH still

DS would have been Nora if he was a girl, and my DD's name is Danielle.

Now I'm going to have to think about Stella and Cora. I like Aubrey, but one of my close friend's little girls is Audrey, so I'll probably pass.

If we have a boy, for now, he's _____ David. Lovely.

We didn't have a name for a day after DD2 was born. We sorta had a list..

So, if you feel comfortable waiting until the kiddo makes an appearance, you wouldn't be the only one.

I like all of your names too. My favorites are Eva and Stella. I think both are becoming more and more popular though.

I think we have similar taste in names--Lydia was tops on my list, but DH doesn't like it at all.

Incidentally, Stella is the name of one of my great aunts and her sister's name was Lila. I think Lila is pretty too. The "old" names are definately making a comeback.

Oooh I really love Cora, its so beautiful, simple and old fashoned! My stupid cousin just had a baby, they wanted to name her Courtney and call her Cora for short (huh??) so instead just shortened Courtney to Coura. . .so. . .they used this beautiful name, but spelled it wrong not even knowing it was a real name! Duh! I was so disgusted!! But Cora, spelled the traditional way is gorgeous!

My dd is stella and we get compliments all the time! I like all the names on your list. We never did agree on girl names, thank goodness we ended up with a boy!
