Good Ring Sling Recommendation?

I'm a bit of a baby carrier addict. We have a Ergo, Storch Wrap, Moby Wrap and Deuter Backpack. I love my wraps, but am finding it a pain for quick jaunts into places or days when we are doing a lot of in/out of the car. We used the Ergo for this when my daughter was smaller, but she is now too heavy for my front and doesn't like being on my back in the Ergo. I tried a ring sling at a friends the other day and was surprised at how nice it felt (I tried one when the babe was new and really didn't like it).

So what are you recommendations for ring slings? Padded, unpadded? Woven? What fabrics are most comfortable? Any really fantastic slings out there? I'm in Canada and there is a locally made sling from Sewfunky, anyone have experience with this sling? Thanks!

Awesome, comfy ring slings at a great prices and the WAHM that runs it is a joy to work with. I own three and have given them as gifts to new moms.

I just got a leo storch ring sling on babywearers and I LOVE IT. I had a solarveil one first and I could never get it to tighten properly and it wasn't comfortable at all. The leo is unpadded, but it is really comfortable and the babe likes to be in it.

I love Sakura Bloom. They are so comfy and easy to adjust.

I would never get a padded sling, no shoulder pad or rail pads. Way too bulky and uncomfortable.

I certainly wouldn't get an OTSBH or NoJo, but I really like the padded shoulder on a Maya Wrap LP or an Ellaroo. It's not bulky or difficult to adjust at all IME.

In Canada, you might want to try an UpMama -- she makes a great sling.

I have tried lots and lots of ringslings and I still love the Maya Wrap, lightly padded, best. The padding on that is just a little, on the shoulder.

Another for Sleeping Baby Productions. Great quality, love the shoulder, very comfy and reasonably priced with lots of fabric options.

Here is the site. http://www.parentingconcepts.com/

Also lots of great fabric solids and prints!

I know the lovely mama who makes the Sewfunky slings. We live in the same town. I got one of her slings when my daughter was born, and it is my absolute favorite. I used both her pouch sling and ring sling. Her ring slings are unpadded, which I prefer to padded. I still carry my 2 1/2 year old dd in it when we go for bus rides etc..and it is the only sling that I can still use comfortably with her now.
