Homemade play-dough?

I've seen recipes for homemade playd-dough, but what I'm wondering is how easy is it to make? Is there a lot of kneading? I want to do it as party favors and would need to make about 20 balls to wrap up. If anyone has made it could you let me know about how long it would take? I thought this would be an inexpensive way to have a nice, non-plastic party favor, but don't want to bite off more than I can chew. I'm a single working mom, so time is valuable! Thanks!

When I made it some time ago, it was super easy.

I use a cooked recipe, it takes a fair amount of stirring as it cooks but not a lot of kneading once it's done. I would say a batch takes me about 15 minutes.

I have found I can't do more than 2 cups of flour at a time without getting very lumpy dough. That would make 4 balls.

If you want to include a rolling pin with your dough we made ours by cutting up wooden broom handles and sanding the ends. Very cheep and quick.
