Ooh! I just skimmed my copy of The Creative Family and saw instructions for making sewing cards. Print or draw a simple picture on card-stock. Pop holes along the perimeter of the picture (tree, animal, house, etc...)--if it's close enough to the edge, a standard hole punch should work. Get a big fat yarn needle and some yarn. = sewing card!
