OB recs on Oahu?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good, as crunchy as high risk OB's can be, OB on Oahu? Or anyone to expressly avoid?

Aloha girls!

Eesha Bhattacharyya is the only doc on island that will do VBAC and can be convinced not to induce. He has great midwives in his office where you can most of your care and be overseen by him for any "high risk" aspects. He's done csections to natural twin births at Castle and also at Kapiolani.

He's the only OBGYN I'd see on this island.

I'd avoid Dr. Chapman as I find her bedside manner SERIOUSLY lacking.

Thank you KailuaMama, I was hoping you would reply!!! I had him in mind but then I read some bad reviews on a very mainstream site so I thought I would double check. I place much more faith in a review from here, just to match up to my own ideas.

Thanks again!

Hi there-

I just wanted to second the recommendation of Dr. Bhattacharrya. I wasn't high risk, but loved him and his midwives. My best friend had him for her VBAC about 2 years ago and also loved him. She came from Kauai just to have him as her doc. He has a great record. Wouldn't go to anyone else.

I'm seeing Dr Cheryl Lynn Rudy and so far no complaints but we haven't really talked in depth about labor, etc.

I still want a midwife but Kapiolani is closer. I may have to call the OB you guys listed and see one of the midwives there.

Normally I'd be seen at Tripler...umm..no thanks!
