Body book for kids?

My delightful DS (3 years old) discovered today that mommy doesn't have a penis, and wants to know what I have instead! We answer such questions pretty frankly, but I would love to have a book for him to look at and learn more.

Does anyone know of a book that shows the human penis the way it was meant to be? I'd really love one that simply explained the function of a foreskin but I'd settle for one that actually acknowledges they exist!

Kids books would be great, but they don't necessarily have to be designed for very young children - he's pretty smart and we would be reading it with him.

TIA for any suggestions!

Elizabeth Nobel had a book called "The Joy of Being a Boy" which was more about intact boys than everyone's body. Though it is out of print. You might be able to find one that is used. For an intact friendly general body book I might try a Amazon UK or if we could get a recommendation from our UK members.

Thanks, that's a great idea to check Amazon UK - I bet pretty much any anatomy book they would have would be more likely to show intact vs. circumcised.

Anyone have any specific recommendations? Anyone have a book they have for their own kids?

We had a thread about this but I don't remember if anyone had found any. I think someone said that there is one in German but I don't remember the name. Anyone?

I took a risk and bought one from Amazon.ca called Amazing You. It is a really good book, with semi-accurate drawings, basic info and is aimed at toddlers but the penis in the book look circed to me. So I would not recommend that one. (one to cross of your list anyway)

Let me know if you are able to locate a good one.

Take care,
Tara

Ah, latinalonestar you are right there was a thread about this not long ago. (just found it through a search I should have done before posting). Some good suggestions there if anyone else is looking.

Thanks for finding it! I'm horrible at searching for threads, I can never get any results. I need to check into getting a book for ds. I thought about trying to write one but I don't know the first thing about writing a children's book.
