on ONE side at 9 mos pp!!! wth? :
My right is fine, just a little sore form excessive use (been prefering the right cause its so unpleasant on the hurty one)

My left has been very very sore for the last week, feels like my son is biting the entire time hes nursing. Like his teeth are digging into my nipple. This am it cracked in 2 places and is bleeding. Im walking around wihtout a shirt with ebm on it tryingn to air dry.

He has no symptoms of thrush, nothing in his mouth, no rash on diaper area. And my right nipple is fine. I have no symptoms either. Just this awfull hurt

I have LLL tomorrow, but if anyone could give me any advice now itd be great. This is excruciating!

Definitely rest, rest, rest and rest some more. Drink lots of fluids and build your immune system with probiotics & vita c & healthy foods. With the cracked nipple & full breast, you're going to be much more suseptible to mastitis. Go to bed and cancel all your plans for a couple of days. Get someone to help with your DS if possible.

Even though it hurts, you should probably have your DS nurse from the affected side first. You need to keep the milk going. If he won't, then hand express to relieve the fullness and pressure.

Unfortunately, BFing issues can happen at any time. I got mastitis not too long ago, and my DD is 2.5 years old (I thought I was waaaay past the days of mastitis, but my body was clearly telling me to slow down & that I was just doing too much!)

Feel better, mama!

I am so sorry--ouch, ouch, ouch. I agree with the pp--try to nurse on the painful side. You could have a plugged duct very close to your nipple.

I would treat this as I would treat mastitis--no bra, lots of rest, lots of protein.
