A friend of ours invited us to a playdate at her house and one of her friends has a dd about Lana's age who will be receiving the MMR vaccine earlier that day. Is the MMR one of the vaccines that sheds? Lana has had no shots and I don't want to put her at risk of it shedding.

MMR is a live vaccine, so yes, it does shed.

Dr. Sherri Tenpenny says that the chances of an unvaccinated child catching anything from a recently vaxed child (vaxed with MMR) is very low. I still wouldn't chance it. Im sure your child will be exposed to recently vaxed (with live virus vax) children at some point. I mean most of the time you just won't know it, but if I did have that knowledge, Id err on the safe side IMO.
