Babywearing for mamas who are easily tired out?

If this has been brought up recently, please do go ahead and link me to the appropriate thread.

I have a heart valve issue as well as an autonomic condition where my heart rate and blood pressure react inappropriately to mild exertion and small position changes.

I'm expecting a new little one in April and would like to wear him when I can. What sling or wrap would you recommend for someone who is just plain easily tired out? I don't have an achy back or joints, I just need something that will be pretty easy for me to use, so I don't exhaust myself out while getting baby in/out or adjusting the sling.

Thanks, mamas!

i would think that a buckle-type carrier would fit the bill. perhaps something like the Beco Butterfly - it has a little harness inside for the baby, so you can put the baby in first and then put the carrier on. and it comes with an insert for infants so you could use it from the get-go. i've never used one, but it seems like it'd be super easy - put baby in carrier, pick up carrier/baby, click a couple of buckles together and voila.

a pouch would be another good choice. fling it over your shoulder, pop baby in. but not as comfy for long stretches of wearing, and not as hands-free as a two-shouldered carrier. so you might find that you exert yourself more while wearing baby than you would with a two-shouldered option (if that makes sense).
i'd stay away from wraps - those made me sweat and turn red in the face when i was first learning to use them

I think I'd vote for the Pikkolo by Catbird Baby -- it's a buckle carrier but less bulky than a soft structured carrier (without the optional babywearing support belt, which you'd want for later when baby got bigger). You can wear even a little baby with legs out with the cinchable bottom, and it's very easy to put on and adjust. It will also grow with your baby to be a front and back carrier.
