My sister is visiting with her triplets that she is breastfeeding exclusively 1 of them bites. What can she do?
They are 6 weeks old and she breastfeeds them two tandem then the third rotating them each feeding as follows: Baby a on right baby b on left then baby c on both starting with right. then the next feeding it is baby b on right and baby c on left then baby a on both starting on left. then baby c on right and baby a on left then baby b on both starting on right. then start over again. baby c is the biter

Thank you for posting! I love reading about moms of multiples who EBF.

DD is a biter. I have watched her and learned certain warning signs. Sometimes she's bored, angry, or hyper. If she seems in the mood to bite, I keep a finger right by her mouth. As soon as she clamps down, I use my finger to break the latch and pop her off. I hug her for a few minutes but do not nurse her. She usually cries a lot during this time. I've learned that if I let her latch on again too soon, she will keep biting. I keep hugging her and talking to her until I get the feeling that she's worked out her frustration (She's usually still crying. I can't tell you how I know that she's done biting). Then I latch her on again.
