I really don't have many symptoms. My breasts were really tender for the first 3 weeks, but are back to normal now. I only felt nauseous once, which was before I found out.

My belly is huge, I'm thirsty and hungry more than normal and going to the bathroom more, but other than that, I don't even feel pregnant. I was really sick with my first two pregnancies though, so I keep waiting for that to hit.

Not everyone has symptoms. So far I've had m/s since I found out I was pregnant early last week and tender breasts and I crave certain foods already. I feel horrible from the time I wake up until about lunch time and then I'm full of energy the rest of the afternoon until bed. ugh. I was hoping it would be a while before the m/s set in. Enjoy no symptoms!

really thanks tear for asking and for your support. certainly the m/s has been improving for about a week and now i am pretty much nausea free! i should be ecstatic maybe. my boobs are still a bit tender but i guess i thought they would continue to get worse or something. i haven't been as ravenous this week either. and i'm not as tired. so i'd say the symptoms have been dwindling for a week, but slowly, yk? i made an appointment with my primary for a blood test. partly for me and partly to quell the questioners who want to know when i am going to the Dr. i'm nervous. i have only taken that one pregnancy test, too scared to pee on another stick. i'm afraid the line will be gone. i'm so crazy.

Okay, it's here! I definitely morning sickness, afternoon and night sickness. Yesterday, could barely get out of bed. HAD to because I had a night class. When the professor started talking about the consistency of the brain (psych class) I thought I was going to lose it. Every student seemed to reek of smoke and cologne. It was pretty unbearable and now I am highly interested in remedies. I've tried a lot already...bland foods, staying hydrated, nibbling often to keep something in the stomach. I've heard mixed reviews on the safety of ginger and haven't used it. I called the OB/GYN and since I just moved and am a new patient (haven't seen them yet) they will not give me any advice. I pleaded with her on the phone asking for a list of safe pain relievers for headaches and suggestions for morning sickness. The nurse put me on hold for a good while and then said, you can take tylenol and emetrol, we'll see you in 3 weeks. Ugh. Whatever happened to nurses who were kind and nurturing. Surely they understand the anxiety and desperation of pregnant woman and might at least considering being nice. Luckily, I found a doctor of integrative medicine for my GP. They reserve an entire hour per appointment and do acupuncture. Although that appt isn't for another 2 months. Hopefully I'm not STILL sick at that time.

Has anyone else tried Emetrol?

i truly think its a blood sugar thing -- eat a lot of good, high cal, dense, filling foods and dont ever get hungry -- thats when the sick cycle begins!

i know it seems counter intuitive but it works.

i follwed the "blue ribbon diet" and that eased m/s too. lots o butter, eggs, cheese, bread, protiens, fruits, etc

g/l!

You're not crazy, I have two pee sticks at home and I don't want to pee on them because I know I'll psychoanalyze how dark the line is, or worse there won't be one. I am totally scared to pee all the time, because I'm scared of what I'll see when I wipe. But I don't think it's healthy to do stuff like that....here's my theory. If something is wrong (stick in there baby!!), I don't want to know about it any earlier than I have to. If it helps you at all, I read somewhere that symptoms may lesson around 8-9 weeks. I think I read it on here http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/prenatal-care/PR00112 or here http://www.babiesonline.com/pregnancy/week-by-week/ (they're fun to look at anyway). Don't stress, mama!! When do you get the results of your blood test?

tear78 thanks again....... the worry comes and goes. sometimes i am at peace with things and then other times not so much, kwim? the doc didn't give me a blood test even though i specified i wanted one. just a regular old pee test.....could of done it myself! i was so nervous though waiting and breathed a sigh of relief when she said i was pregnant. symptoms are still getting better. i am trying to remain unworried. i mean there is always going to be something to stress about, no matter what so i know it's fruitless.......need to get it into check! now! breathe in....breathe out......breathe in......

octobermoon (and any others interested!) - I was just thinking that there should be some kind of no-stressers thread here in the pregnancy forum, like there was in TTC. We could put it in under "I'm Pregnant" so that the no-stressers that are becoming pregnant now could also join. I think we all still need that kind of relaxed, calm, zen attitude now that we're pregnant and stressing over every little sign once again. We could even have a list of members and where they are in the process...like how many weeks along, heartbeat yet, gender known, etc. hm....I don't know anything about starting that kind of thread, but anybody interested?
