Candida causes allergies/food intolerances.

Yes, but it's not the ONLY thing that causes food allergies. I think that's why Kathy is a little leary of doing a total anti-yeast diet that includes allergens. I agree that's not a good idea.

Yes, but some of us take a broader approach than that. Candida can cause food allergies but so can many other things. Also I tend to take a step back and wonder what ALLOWED the candida. I just think it's a bit myopic to pin all these issues on ONE thing.

Well you're right. That's why Bee's program focuses on total health. She takes the position of the Optimal Diet, Dr. Weston A. Price, Sally Fallon, etc.
The candida is allowed to flourish due to a depressed immune system, lack of minerals, lack of enough good fats, etc.
As she puts it:
Four Primary Causes of Failing Health

1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen.
2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste.
3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship or financial worries and concerns, etc.
4. Nutritional status inherited from your parents upon conception.

What is not a good idea?

Bee's program is not just anti-candida, it has the essential building blocks of nutrition through improved digestion, minerals, fats, and proteins, and good carbs.

At this point her ds is in a lot of pain. What can one lose at this point?

Ok, you just copy and pasted your first post, which doesn't at all address what I said.

Even IF candida were the ONLY cause of food allergies (which it's not), you still have to repair the damage done in your gut before you can just go throwing allergens back into your body. Unless of course you want to make a child very, very sick.

Eating food that you know you're allergic to just because they're on a healing or anti-candida diet.

Just saw your edit....

Um- he could be in a lot MORE pain!!!

And I'm really not trying to be snarky here, but if it were as simple as, "Hey- everybody on the Allergy board! Come do this diet, and you will all be cured!"... trust me, we'd all come running. But it's just not. There is NO one size fits all treatment for allergies.

i've suffered from eczema and food sensitivities for 20 years myself, and i did a lot better when i eliminated foods i tested sensitive to (muscle testing and some other tests at the nd). for me corn is also my worst offender. i've been doing bee's healing diet for nearly 3 months after i had tried everything else. really, everything i could get my hands on. i have already healed my digestive system so much, i hadn't realised how inflamed it was until it wasn't! and i can see that i'm in a process of healing now that i never got to before with simply elimination and applying different supplements. i think this healing diet could be done even with such limited possibilities for vegetables, even if one continued to rotate foods. i know it is challenging, but i think you'll find that at such a young age they will heal quickly. it could be less than a year before this child could be completely better. i think that's worth a try! my dear friend is trying it out, to try to cure her arthritis, i'll let you know how it goes, if you like. it is certainly better than living with these kinds of illnesses, year in and year out. it sounds like what the OP is doing with diet is already incredibly challenging!

however i had to come to this in my own time, after trying a few other things, and anyone else will too. that's fine.

at least i would consider that if one child has such a strong corn sensitivity, not to give it to the other. it would take more than a few days to detox.

good luck.
