i talked to the owner of dandelion summers today about ostheimer and she is pretty certain ostheimer will be ok b/c they are wood and stained NOT painted. but holztiger on the other hand won't make the cut unless they have the certification done.
so im happy at least that i shuld still be able to get my ostheimers...
i'm trying to find my silver lining here

Oh this is really sad. And S&H just sent me this year's catalogue! I just can't stock up *right* now - after Christmas! - on all the birthday figures I think we'd need in the years to come. I could overcome my S&H addiction - after I stock up, lol.

Ah! and I just thought about the candles which fit the brass rings. What a pita! If I couldn't order them, I'd have to roll beeswax sheets to fit.

If the Jewish temples in your area have a gift shops (or just a Jewish market) you can get the candles right before Hanukah. Ours have lots of sizes and made form beeswax or parrafin.
