Anyone else dealing with this?

My former spouse paid child support on the 24th. He is a sgt with Lincoln county, and it is deducted from his paycheck. The state "credited" him twice and backed out the payment twice... but he has yet to see the money, nor have I.
Is anyone else dealing with this? Have you gotten any answers from your case workers? No one is calling me back. I have gone so far as to talk to my state representative (Nancy Nathanson) Truly, I did expect some delay because of the holidays, and compensated for it. Now here it is the 8th of the month, and the way the system works, there is no way we will be seeing child support before the 12th. Our family will be okay, I will just pull money out of the savings account to deal with this, but what about those families that do not have a cushion?
They go on to say "thankyou for your understanding and support." I wonder if the mortgage company will understand, or my credit card company, or the electric and phone company or if the children effected stomach's understand.

| Please take note: A technical error has occurred on the statewide automated child support accounting system which caused some accounts to reflect duplicate payments on December 30, 2008. However, no duplicate payments were actually made. The correct payment amounts were issued between December 30, 2008 and January 2, 2009. We are now in the process of correcting the payment records to remove the second payment entries. It will take a few days for that change to appear on your accounting case records. |
