Suze Orman's 2009 Action Plan: FREE!

I am a (huge!) Suze fan and thought I would share this link to her free book.

Please note:

1.) Offer expires at 11:59 p.m. CT on Thursday, January 15.
2.) I did not watch Oprah. I cannot speak to what Oprah discussed with Suze, but I thought others might benefit from the free book.

I believe she was on today or yesterday, but I'm not 100% and didn't check Oprah's site.

Hurray!!!! I love Suze! Though she would've told me to not quit my job to be a wahm mom (I watched a show where women were asking if they had enough to quit and stay home with their kids and she was BRUTAL! The truth hurts though sometimes )

Hahaha. Yeah, but she does say, "People first, then money, then things", so perhaps she would think you did the right thing.

I did not see the show you're referring to, but some of the people calling in do need a verbal lashing. I have been surprised by what people want to buy when they are already in debt up to their eyeballs.

Cool! Thanks

We got out of debt using DR in 2008. We're now working on our emergency fund, but I'm eager to read about "next steps" once that is done.

That's my favorite part of her show. Some of her expressions when she is listening to them is priceless!

Thanks for posting this! I saw it at the bookstore (didn't buy it) and put it on my to-read list. Now, I won't even have to wait until the library buys it.

I saw her do this on Oprah. I really enjoyed watching her do her thing.

We don't get Suze's show in Australia though

But it's great to hear we can get her action plan

Thank you SO SO SO much for posting this! I don't get to watch Suze anymore. I quickly read through some of the sections of the book that most pertained to our current situation and got some more resources to look into that may help us avoid bankruptcy after all! ::: I'll be a busy little bee on the telephone tomorrow trying my best to figure it all out.

Thanks for posting. I am a Dave Ramsey fan, but look forward to reading SO's book.

I saw the Oprah show with Suze ... it was okay. Very much geared to those who are MIRED in debt, like with 23 credit cards, etc ...
I'd like to see her focus a little more on those of us trying to stay out of it in the first place.

I think I read or heard that the average American has 10 credit cards. I at one point had ten (none now! Woot!

It's easy to get sucked in to keeping up with the Jones's (sp?). I think that the silver lining in this economy is people are learning to stop being so gluttonous. While I feel there are certain things that aren't "necessary" but bring joy and therefore become necessary for some (ahem, starbucks for instance- that would be mine)- there are people that feel they deserve everything they ever wanted and love the instant gratification of credit cards.

I used to believe I deserved anything I ever wanted and that I "deserved" to go shopping because I had a bad day, worked really hard that day, etc etc. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I know so many people who think that way. It also reflects your self esteem. If you aren't finding joy in other aspects of your life, it's so easy to just spend yourself into false happiness.

Anyway, holy tangent.
