Ultrasound Results

I had my ultrasound today at 5 weeks 6 days and they were able to see the fetal pole and yoke sac. My fertility doctor was really happy with it and wants me to come back in 2 weeks to see the heartbeat. Hope everyone is doing well.

So, I have a question...what IS a fetal pole? I always hear about that on early u/s's but I really don't know exactly what it means. My tech didn't mention it at mine.

Another question: did your doc agree with your dates? As in, is your bean's development consistent with your projected dd? Just wondering, cause my tech said I was "5 weeks", though I had my u/s at the same day, gest., as you. I'm readjusting my mind to think of myself as being 5 weeks this week instead of 6.
