I'm wearing maternity pants right now.

I'm such a nerd.

I went throught the buckets of hand-me-down maternity clothing from my SIL and found that a few of the size small pants actually fit (just a little loose at the waist!) and are actually much nicer than my regular pants. I've gained a few pounds over the past few months so this seems to make more sense than going out and buying new pants at this point.

It feels weird to have maternity stuff on at 5 weeks though. lol

I also have some maternity pants. I never buy clothes, but I get them for Christmas from folks and family -- and this Christmas I requested maternity clothes. And, well, they're just soooo comfortable.... especially when I feel all bloated and gross.

And, I'm five weeks today! If I get through this week, that's longer than the last pregnancy lasted. Here's hoping.....

My MIL gave me a gift card for Christmas to a clothing store that doesn't sell maternity clothes!

I don't know what to do ... They do sell nursing bras though... maybe I'll get a few more of those.

Or maybe a first-date-after-baby cute outfit?! Just to keep the dream alive....

I'm tempted to break out my maternity pants from my last pregnancy. My jeans are started to get tight but I feel silly putting on maternity pants at 5 weeks.

i wore sweatpants to choir practice tonight. my jeans already don't fit!

Oh, I'm so glad to read this thread!

I haven't actually worn any of my maternity clothes yet (except my two new maternity camisoles...extra long...very comfy!), but I have unboxed, washed, and hung them in my closet. Cause I am already down to very limited regular clothes. My loose brown jeans are leaving a red mark on my belly as we speak.

Now I feel more empowered to go ahead a put on some stretchy pants. Anyway, I'm 6.5 weeks, so it's alright, right?

Hey, anyone have a Bella Band? They look handy, but pricey. I'm going to try to make a few next week.

I just realized I can actually get NEW maternity clothes for this pregnancy.

My first pregnancy I lived in MI and was due in December so I have a lot of winter maternity clothes.

This time I live in NC and am due in September which will still be summer here!

I've been living in fleece pants at home and stretchy corduroys for work. I was wearing a size 9 (comfortably) before, now my old 13's feel a bit snug. I don't remember being this bloated with my daughter.

Funny stuff, ladies!

I don't have any maternity clothes left. I donated them all back to their original home - the Goodwill.

The thrift stores here stink. I'll have to go ebay for anything I need, I'm thinking.

Okay to the ladies that are still trying to cram into regular pants, and have maternity pants sitting there waiting - put them on!! This is weird for me, because last time I don't think I even thought about maternity pants until about 4-5 months!

I am so much more comfortable with loose pants on now. Only things is, we haven't told anyone yet, and I KNOW SIL will recognize it if I'm wearing her pants!!

I am really lucky that SIL, plus another family member have each had 3 children and decided they are done - so I got a bucket from each of them. Last pregnancy I went through with one pair of jeans and size large t-shirts, so it will be nice to be a little more fashionable this time around!

I'm so happy to find this thread.. I feel ridiculous that the only pants I fit into are my very low rise jeans and drawstring pants.

I saw a knockoff on the Target website. I'm thinking of getting one.

What is the belly band for, exactly?

It's like a big circle of stretchy fabric (similar to the waist band on maternity pants) that you can wear over all your regular pants and lets you wear your pants unbuttoned (and even unzipped).

It lets you go longer in your own clothes rather than buying new pants right away.

I had the bella band for Corbin's pregnancy. It was great for holding my pants up before I got into maternity clothes BUT it was even better for stretching right over my entire stomach right after her delivery.

Oooohhhh...good to know!

I like that you can wear them under regular shirts, which are now getting too short, so it looks layered. I doubt I'll wear many of my pants unbuttoned...I just can't believe it really hides the bump of the corner of jeans sticking out. I do think they might work for another use I heard...holding up maternity pants that are still too roomy.

I saw that Target has them, but seriously, even for that price I'm guessing I could make 4-5 of them, depending on how many coupons I have for the fabric store! That way I can do different colors.

Tracy - the bella band didn't hide the corner of jeans unless I folded the jean corner under (inside the jeans) then it looked like a natural progression. Does that make sense?

I bought the knockoff bella band at Target today.

I'll probably wear it sometime this week. I'll try to remember to report back here :

Oh mamas, glad to see this thread!! : I didn't even wear mat clothes with #1; with #2 it was a few months into it and with this babe, I am heading out into the cold storage area to find some bigger clothes *tonight!*

I can't believe it. Ds has been weaned for about two weeks; I just got some lovely 'real' bras and I can tell it's already time to go back to the old comfy ones.

I saved everything from all my stages of shrinking and growing and shrinking, so I should have some bigger pants (it took forever to lose weight after #2) and I am soooo ready for them.
