Someone talk me down...

I am sooo angry right now at my feedback on amazon. we did TONS of business over the holiday season and now I am gettin' reamed!! People are being outright ridicules! Most of them are cranky-pants who order stuff dec 19th and expect it by christmas. Some are there are just no pleaseing. Here are a few. paraphrased because of copyrights.

I ordered christmas eve eve and am mad that people take holidays off. I think I should get my shipping charges refunded!

um thats christmas eve eve.... I shipped the package monday, the next day I was in my office! I don't get to spend time with my family for christmas?

I orderd for christmas, you suck! Ordered december 17th.

I ordred for christmas and it arrived the 29th, seller was curtious, but I'm still leaving negitives.
Ordered dec 16th

I feel like people will see this and think I am a poor seller! In reality I had 1,995 orders, and only 148 feedbacks, almost 6% of which were negative.

I feel like I am being held responsible for the post office being busy.

My favourite that I can't find right now was an alaskan who ordred dec 20th and emailed me christmas eve DEMANDING to know why it wasn't at his house yet... um, maybe because the pacific NW is in a blizzard and I'm in OHIO!

What am I doing wrong? any advice!

my best advice is to leave a calm & courtesy response to each negative...most people can see when someone is irrational and/or unreasonable....as long as you stay professional, those negatives shouldn't impact you much.

It's hard to remember, but you're not the only one. All e-tailers run into situations like this. Do the best you can and know that you cna't please everyone all the time...

I read a lot of reviews and comments before buying and comments like that wouldn't phase me. Those types of comments are purely personal and are not helpful in determining the service one got from a business. I wouldn't worry about it. And when I see a low percent rating I almost always click to find out why that person has negative feedback....maybe a plus for you...it will draw curiousity and then people will see that you're not bad and then buy from you rather than the 100's of other available merchants.

oh geez! I can definately understand your frustration! You are not doing anything wrong! When I order things on December 19th, I certainly do not expect it to arrive before Christmas!

When I read feedback on Amazon, I notice most sellers deal with the same thing - and I take that stuff with a grain of salt. I think more highly of sellers who respond kindly to the stupidity with facts, so IMO, you should as well.

I have, things like "Please be sure to check your spam filters!" or "Christmas delivery can up to three weeks, be sure to order early!" things that maybe other buyers will read and possibly do and not have said problems.

It just really started to get under my skin. There is just nothing that you can do, and not having any control over something stressed me out.
