came on here during a commercial break to see if anyone had brought it up

They haven't specified whether it is rubella or regular measles (rubeola?). Isn't there a big difference with respect to risks to the fetus (they are particularly worried about the pregnant patients, but they aren't calling it German measles/rubella)?

What do you say? Change the channel and boycott the show, or see if they actuall redeem themselves? Though that last bit about measles before this commercial leads me to believe they are going to continue with the scare tactics.

i want to scream!!!! and now this stupid f-ing show is making my husband second guess what is primarily MY decision. i am so angry right now.

They're trying desperately to up the ratings any way they can. That show was supposed to be a shoo-in hit and it's been really bad. And I've yet to hear of a doctor/hospital show that didn't cover people who don't vaccinate. It seems to be par for the course. If I were a cynic, I'd say that advertising dollars had something to do with it...

This is the same show where the OB/main character asked if "Midwifery" was an "actual word." I hate this show!

OMG! Even when I did most of the vaccines (only skipped C.P. with my first daughter, C.P. and Pnuemo with my second...by the 4th child I was skipping about 60% of the shots), I always thought that parents should have the freedom to choose.

The lack of medical freedom in this country--be it in pediatrics or maternity, is insane.

Yes, of course, the little boy is dying now...
