Guess who's nursing full-time?! My hungry little man!
:
Basically, on Christmas Eve, our visiting nurse came and after looking at his latch we decided to just plunge into him nursing all the time. She said she'd come back in two days to weigh him, just to make sure that he was doing as well as she thought he would (she also told us to not stress about not giving him PolyVisol anymore, thank God!). Well, when she came back, he was actually down an ounce. Thankfully, she is wonderful and reasonable and said to keep nursing, and she'd come back after two more days...and now we're looking at a weight gain of about 1 - 2 oz per day, and my little tiny 2 pound baby has become a 7 pound, 10 ounce baby before my very eyes! His weight gain is actually better now that he isn't getting any formula supplementation. His "reflux" (which I don't think he actually had) is better without rice cereal. His momma feels very vindicated
Thank you so much for your support, mamas! I was so encouraged by all of your success stories.
