Maryland exemption change?

Today I called our local elem school to check on kindergarten sign ups. They are March 16th. I asked what I would need to bring and I was told ss card, birth certificate, utility bill and vaccination record. I said we will be filing a religious exemption. The ( very nice) lady I was speaking with then asked if he had some or none. I was kind of shocked and said again I just want to file a religious exemption. She then informs me that there are 2 form in maryland now one that lists any vaccines the child had and then a place to sign for the exemption and the form that is a straight exemption. She said she didnt have the forms yet but she would the first of March. Im a little shocked at this point in the conversation. She then goes on to say both of her nieces filed exemptions for their kids and she cant believe how many shots they give kids these days.. she managed to survive mumps measles and chickepoxs back in teh 50's ... Yes Im completely stunned at this point...
but I wondering if I should just sign the straight exemption even though Nathan was vaxed up to 2yrs.

Oh a good note I think Im going to like the school secretary

I guess the whole ramable gets down to has anyone ever been asked to sign a exemption form where you list the partial vaccines

The TX form allows you to exempt from some vaxes. I would exempt from all just to be safe.

I don't think it matters too much since you can vax and them have a change in your religious beliefs and then stop vaxing. You justcan't go back and forth and pick and choose vaxes. If you go with the "he's had none" exemption make sure you are not apart of any state vax registry because schools have access to that info and you could be caught in a lie and that wouldn't look too good!

I'd just pretend he has had none as he won't have enough vaxes of any type to be excused from an outbreak.

That sounds like the form I had to fill out too. There were 2 sections to it, the top was were you listed the vaxes the child has had and the bottom is the actual exemption part where you just have to sign. I don't think it matters whether or not you fill out the top part, you had a "religious conversion" after your child received these vaxes.
Personally, I'd take a look at the school's policy regarding outbreaks. For example, if my dd is not vaxed for something and there is a case of it in daycare she has to go home. This would be where having that record of vaxes received would be helpful as your child might not HAVE to get sent home during an "outbreak" (which these days is 1 case).

Sorry I know this is an older thread but I wanted to post that my daughter is in 1st grade in MD and its our first year in school in this state. She has a religious exemption in her file for her vaxs. They took it and made some comment that I didnt pay attention to. I got the form of the department of heath site and filled out the bottom part and signed it. It just states that we are religiously opposed.
