how crunchy is Frankfurt?

We're a Dutch-French family, right now living in the US.
We might have an opportunity to spend 6-9 months in Frankfurt.
How crunchy is it?
DH speaks fluent German, and i can manage relatively well.

We're looking for a laid back neighborhood, maybe semi-rural, with midwives, alternative schools (waldorf), other granola families, maybe also International families, farmers' markets. Do you think that exists in Franfurt? How expensive is life there ?

any insight will be welcome, thanks in advance Mamas!

Don't worry about language. Frankfurt is very international and there are a lot of English speakers.
Southern-ish Germany is generally pretty crunchy. You can live a pretty granola experience anywhere there. Frankfurt is expensive but I've lived in Regensburg and Heidelberg which are much worse.
