Kitten whose ears were pierced, removed from the home by humane society. Why do we treat pets with more respect than we treat boys.[*]

* I am not advocating worse treatment for animals, only that we should treat boys (and children generally) with the same respect as a pet. But I think you all knew that.

Yeah and in california there was a proposition passed to give chickens larger cages...

How can our nation be so blind to one of the greatest human rights violations of all time!

current child abuse laws are based on animal cruelty laws.

You would think that people would know how to keep animals and take care of children, but we don't so we have to make laws about it.
