Super easy, green way to clean silver

I saw this on a website and tried it on a sterling silver bracelet and it worked in minutes. Line a bowl with tin foil, add a few teaspoons of baking soda and a few teaspoons of salt. Add warm water. Submerge the piece, wait a few minutes, and wipe off the tarnish. Its amazing!

Cool! I have quite a few pieces of silver that need to be polished. I am going to try this tomorrow.

Ok, dumb question from me - but do you mean aluminum foil or actual tin foil? I can only recall seeing aluminum foil, though for some reason I always refer to it as tin foil. ..... Does real tin foil, made from tin exist...... i have no idea.

aluminum foil- I just always say tin, lol.

OMG!!! I have soooooo much silver just sitting around tarnished beyond believe. So this is the best information I've heard today. I can't wait to try tomorrow. Woohoo!!!!

Great tip! I found a silver dish my grandma gave to me and it desperately needs to be polished. I think I'll have DD help with it after school today.

I've also gotten good results with toothpaste!
