Shannon, which brands do long inseams? I have that problem too. Though I'm not willing to spend quite that much on maternity jeans.

I'm only 7w. Still such a LONG way to go before I get out of this 1st trimester. But I'm feeling pretty confident - tired, achy boobs, full (and showing) belly, and 2 good u/s already. I'll feel even better after my 1/26 scan, hopefully.

I went to ShopKo and bought some maternity tops on major sale. Stuff that's cute without being too obviously maternity. My maternity jeans are still too baggy in the belly, but boy, are they comfy! I might buy a bella band.

Today I put on a pair of dress slacks. They're less tight in the butt - that's what not drinking has done w00t!! - but tight and uncomfortable in the waste. I did the rubber band trick.

I love fancy jeans, just not the price. I found a pair of citizens for $7 a couple of months ago. I thought that was a pretty big score. Now if only I can find them in maternity at that price

Hello!!!

So I have had ob. appts and had an u/s (wow it was so cool seeing Olive!), on Monday I see the first mw, but I hate to admit I am bummed she can't set up one Sat. appt for DH to meet her If the other MW will agree to a Sat. appt it might swing who we go with, especially since DH is also worried she lives to far away (30-45 minutes).

Food is evil, but I have found a few good things and a few EVIL things. Its not that I am throwing up a lot, its just this constant ache and nausea, were food does not look good and some just is hard to eat.

I guess it is a good thing that my body is liking mostly really healthy food like fruit and yummy soups, and seems to hate sugar and french fries. haha!

I sure hope all is well with everyone!

Hello Ladies - I have been off for a bit. The morning sickness hit really bad this week and by the time I get home I am so exhausted from fighting it all day at work that I just have to lay down for a few minutes before I can even start my family evenings.
Working is really taking alot out of me. Who else works full time here?? I work in an infant room of a daycare its me, two (sometimes three) teachres and eight babies. My youngest is 8 weeks, my oldest 8 months. It is constant movement inmy room and i don't feel like I have been able to eat very well. I listed to dh what I ate the other day and he looked at me like it was alot, but it just din't feel like it to me. I had spent the entire day trying not to run to the bathroom...

I am so jealous of all you ladies who have your appointments so soon. Mine is not until Feburary 2nd - I will be 11 weeks at that point.
I am only 8 weeks now (well technically tomorrow) and while I have that bloate look in the afternnon (and feel it too) I am not really showing at all.
I deffintaly FEEL this pregnancy more than the last one..

I am counting down to my last day at work... hope I make it until July.

Gap and Old Navy both have 34" inseams on their "longs". Old Navy's jeans are only $30 and Gap's are $60-80

I guess I'm joining in on this forum now! My last post was in Infertililty so I feel blessed to be here. I got a BFP this morning after TTC for nearly 2 years. My LMP was 11/12/08 (the day before I posted in Infertility) so my due date is around 8/19/09. Yay! Now I have to try to remember what to do... it's been 4 years since I was pregnant!!!

RoseRed, I work in daycare too--with the four year olds. We do four ten hour days, so it has been rough! We also have to eat what they eat, and none of it has looked or smelled good lately.

Hello all I'm 9 weeks and I haven't even made an appt yet there nothing they can tell me at this point than I already know. I will probly make my first one around 16 weeks my midwife wont even see you until 12 weeks, plus I'm still trying to get finances together for a HB and figuring out what MW to use.

I'm not in maternity pants yet but am feeling quite bloated jeans are real tight so I wear mostly sweats right now.

My m/s has eased up a bit but now I'm getting bad headaches- ugh - hormones- still wondering about twins because ( well I'm a nut) my mom was a twin ( boy / girl) and I'm over 30 ( well 30 exactally until the 26th) and I'm nursing which I have read can all lead to twins but who knows. I'll find out someday.

Went to the grocery store today and everything looked gross and smelled icky to so I came home with milk eggs salad stuff and some junk like cookies and cinnamon rolls ( which I NEVER BUY)

You gals who work in daycare, I just don't know HOW you do it!

DH has been laid off but is doing a bit of side work. I'm a full-time professor, but we're not in session yet. I'm glad I'll have most of the 1st trimester DONE before I go back. Well, that's not exactly true, but I keep trying to tell myself that I'll feel better in a few weeks.

I'm living off of pediapops, wheat thins, and cheerios.

re: morning sickness, I took a unisom and some b6 last night and woke up feeling great and ready to eat. I'm starving. I've only had a couple of really bad days, and my wt is only down a lb or so. It's nice being able to EAT with out having to running to the bathroom and puke.

My MW suggested this and I have been taking it all week. It's a lifesaver!! For the first time in weeks I actually WANTED to eat (and everything stayed down!) I fell asleep last night around 8, so didn't take it and am paying for it today.

I had kind of a weird week last week and I'm wondering if any moms who are on 2nd or more pregnancy have experienced this. So last Tue and Wed (9.5 wks), I had MAJOR cramping and a backache all day/night. Drank lots of water, tried to get on with my day, etc, but really expected to start bleeding at anytime. I don't get bad cramps with periods and had nothing but mild BH with my first 2, so this felt really strange and terrible. Then it all went away - I had a day of mild nausea and now yesterday and today, I really don't feel very pregnant all of a sudden. Part of me feels like everything is fine and typically when I hit 10 wks (2 days ago), I feel great. But then this other part of me is wondering if something has happened. I haven't heard FHTs or had a sono and I'm not sure I could even get in to see a midwife this week (I am in the UK and there is only 1 midwife for my entire clinic)...so yah, I'm sort of in limbo, not sure what to think. I do seem to remember from my midwife days, the more pregnancies moms had had, the more they seemed to have all sorts of aches, etc (of course I'm generalizing...), so any opinions? Sorry this got kind of long.

Hmmmm... I thought I subbed to this thread last night, but mdc must have eaten my post! We've been having massive snow storms and my internet is in and out so maybe my post vanished in the ether somewhere!

I still need a care provider... I'm 99% sure we'll go with the midwife I met the other day, but I need to schedule with her formally, get the paperwork/contract, call my insurance to let them know I'm pregnant, etc. Though when I talked with her she mentioned that in her experience a lot of mamas (starting with their thrid babies) kind of let the whole care provider thing go till 10-12 weeks. She figures these moms have their hands full with the other kiddos and they know there isn't much a care provider can do early on anyway.

I am 8 weeks 3 days today..I had my first appt on 12/31..we did a body count(its just one baby this time.) I have my second appt on 2/5...we did see a heartbeat at my last appt..so that was reassuring...as far as symptoms...I still feel like I am walking around a boat...seasick all the time....I am exhausted...hopefully that will all ease up soon...I have not started to show yet..still wearing my regular clothes...though they are feeling a bit more tight and annoying...I have always showed later than normal..and always seemed to not get too big..but I wonder with this being my 3rd pregnancy if that will change..I am pretty thin and hear you can show sooner due to that...but in the past that has not been true...guess we will see....

This is totally me, too. I'm about where you are, too. 11 weeks on Tues. I have had aches and cramps constantly with this pregnancy! In fact, I was relieved to read your post because I am feeling really achy and crampy just now. I tend to take some cramp bark and take it easy, but I have to admit that it freaks me out a little. I spoke with a friend the other night that said she went through the same thing in her 2nd pregnancy and it made her nervous all the time. I guess we're not alone... My mw also said that menstrual feeling cramps are totally normal (and I don't normally get them with my period either), but whatever I still don't like it.

I sneezed today and felt some pretty strong twinges in my lower abdomen. I haven't had cramping in this pregnancy. I know for some women that can be normal. Perhaps put a call in to a MW office and see how soon they can work you in. I know how stressful it is...

Cramp bark (black haw) is great stuff. It can really help calm down the uterus!

I feel awful. I got too hungry this afternoon and thought I was gonna vomit or pass out or something. I've been pretty dizzy today too. These babies are sucking the life out of me. I have SO MUCH to do and so very little impetus for doing any of it. TG I don't start back on my regular nutso schedule until 1/26!

Ah fours! Thats a good age! I almost did fours but I really do love the babies, that I weed out the employees who think the infant room is 'easy' and just want to vege. Most people can't take my bluntness. If your not working, i will tell you lol
I don't know how you could do four tens... That would be so hard on me!

The first brand that was $210 were Seven jeans. I ended up buying Buffalo brand jeans - very cute, thin material, fitted leg with a slight flair - and the waistband is as thin as a BellaBand, so you can fold it down or pull it up (I only fold down).

The old Navy and Gaps don't have long mat pants in stores here, and I'm really picky about fit - I'd hate to have to buy a bunch of jeans and then return them.

Texaspeach - You certainly DID score on those jeans! Now only if mat jeans were that affordable ...
