im not sure if this is the best place to look, but ive been searching and most of the recipes call for turpentine and or other chemicals.. i want to do straight beeswax and oil, like olive oil for example. its for a wooden piece in my kitchen that is coming unfisished. any recipes?

Have you considered 100% pure tung oil? As long you aren't vegan or nut allergic, you can just use that straight, no recipe required. If you are vegan you should be aware there is a chance some bugs may have been harmed in the collecting of the oil.

I believe you can just mix melted beeswax with oil-- like mineral or I think some people use jojoba.

Here's a link from fine woodworking that talks about it, scroll down to the bit at the end, 'recipe for one sweet finish' or something like that:

I bought mine from Nova Naturals:

hope that helps!
