Good homemade cold cereal

I just made a tasty cereal and I thought I would share (since I think this is highly appealing to children)

Start with the Kishk recipe from NT (sprout whole wheat berries (not hard winter), dry in oven overnight (150), coarsely grind, then soak with yogurt (I think equal parts) and soak for 24 hours, spread thin on a buttered baking sheet and dry overnight (150). When fully dried out, coarsely process in food processor (I added cinnamon here)
Then I added: I mixed coconut oil with raw honey (equal parts), added to that toasted unsweetened shredded coconut and then mixed in the ground kishk.
I think you could add raisins, nuts or whatever you like, obviously..

Very good and now the fight for cold cereal is over!!! yay!!!

My dd just came in and said, "mama, that cereal is sooo good with that milk". (dh just came home with 2 gallons of fresh milk, straight from the farm, nothing better in this world!)

That sounds really good.

I have some mystery wheat berries in the cupboard that I got from the farmer's market, but I don't know if they are hard winter.

How would I tell?

it is and my dd informed that it would also make a good take-out snack. Without the milk it's not quite as nourishing but it is convenient!
