Castor Oil Bab'y's??

Did any of the momma's taking castor oil last night have their baby's?

I didn't. I have a few contractions, but nothing regular. That was with two doses of castor oil. Not sure the misery was worth the few contractions I did get.

Just curious to see if it worked for anyone else. And kinda worried about mecionium since it didnt work.

it didn't work for me, although the castor oil did do a number on my gastro-intestinal tract

i've been having a long early labour, i seem to be stuck at 3cms with contractions that are not at all agonizing (more like strong BH).

i was hoping that the full moon and castor oil would put me over the edge into active labour, but it appears not.

so hard to be patient at this stage!!

I'm sorry the CO didn't work for you, but neither one of you is even at your EDD. I guess those babies aren't done cooking yet. CO only works if you are ready to go. Hang in there.

for me the only reason i've been trying to induce is because my blood pressure was really high.

luckily i was able to get my BP back down, otherwise the midwives would have been required to transfer my care to an OB/GYN and I would have been induced with oxytocin yesterday.

now that my BP is lower and stabilized i won't be trying any natural induction methods - i agree that the babes should get a chance to cook as long as they want!

I am so glad to hear your BP is down. May it stay that way.
