Mucous plug?

I think I've been losing my mucous plug for the last few hours, but there's no blood. It's just kind of thick and clear. I'm not having contractions right now, although I have over the last few days, so I'm not sure what's going on. What does this sound like to you ladies?

Even if you lose the plug (which this might be) it's not a very clear sign of labor. the plug can regenerate. I was losing mine for nearly a week before any sign of real labor - and my mw said it can be as lon g as 4 weeks.

MW came to my house on Friday and we had "the talk" about what would happen if I got closer to 42 w (currently 40w 2d). She would want to do NST, biophysical profile, but not yet of course. But it motivated DH and me to try to get things moving - DTD, spicy food, eggplant parmesan, EPO, walking. So I'm hoping that losing mucous is a sign that things are progressing! But I know it can take days. I'm comfortable, so I don't mind waiting.

I was losing mine in small bits the week before going into labor with this babe.

Well, whatever's happening to you is happening to me too.

That's how my plug looked with my first. I lost a chunk of it 2 days before my water broke and a huge piece came out with my water. Hopefully it will happen soon for you!
