We have a hard time using all of our cream every week and it occurred to me that my cats my like it.....
has anyone ever tried this?
I know they say never give milk to cats and I never have but I'm thinking that's commercial milk....what about the real stuff?

When Pottinger did his experiments with cats raw milk was on his healthy cat menu! Who says not to feed milk to cats? Ours always had milk as did our dog. In fact a raw egg beaten into milk was a favorite treat of thiers.

Farm cats get extra milk all the time. My friend gives them a squirt straight from the cow, sometimes.

I do this as well. In fact (and it sounds really mean but it's light-hearted) when they're being pesky during milking I actually do a kind of target-practice.

Anyway, I give the dogs and cats first dibs on all extra milk.

someone told me that cats are allergic to lactose.....

Maybe some are. But so are some people and I still love raw cream! If your cats seems fine then let them enjoy it! If they are lactose intolerant I think you would notaice quite fast....

My vet told me not to give milk to my cat. It gave her diarrhea. But I'm sure that's because it was conventional processed milk. Like someone mentioned, farm cats get fresh milk straight from the cow if they happen to be sitting nearby (with big, soulful eyes) while the farmer is milking
