I'm 4 days past edd.... I really didn't think that I would go over, I thought I would be early... And my Mom is here also waiting to be helpful but right now not so helpful.... Just waiting on this little one... Every morning I wake up and think OMG I'm still pregnant.... Anyone else in the same boat???? And what are you all doing to pass the time... I'm just trying to keep up on the house and other stupid chores that I have to do... I'm so bored....with waiting... I really can't waite to meet this baby......

not over my due date yet (it's Friday) but I wanted to comment on the mom thing. Mine is planning on comming up and staying with us this weekend, whether we've had the baby or not. Mind you, she was not invited to come. So I'm super psyched *eye rolling* about the possibility of still being pregnant with her hovering around. It would be one thing if there was a lot of cleaning/cooking/laundry that I needed help with, but I'm pretty well caught up on everything so we will all be sitting around twiddling our thumbs and waiting for a baby. I'm hoping she comes before this weekend, or I will need to get stern with mother and tell her thanks but no thanks on the weekend visit.

Thankfully my family lives in town, so I don't have someone in my house bugging me.
I'm only 3 days overdue, but have lost weight and have started vomiting and being nauseas even with Zofran, so they are going to look on Wed and see if there is any progression and if not, we'll be inducing on Thursday.
I'll be working until Wed unless something happens before then (which I'm seriously doubting as I've only had a couple contractions period). *sigh*
But I'm going crazy....there are only a couple people that I told the date to but everyone who knows I'm pregnant is still pestering me asking if baby has come yet. *sigh* Yes, the baby is already a month old and we have chosen not to tell anyone. *sigh* I might be SLIGHTLY hormonal.....

for the mamas who are past their EDDs! I've been there twice and looks like I'll be there again soon! (EDD in 2 days.) Doesn't every day after the EDD seem like a month? I'm already going crazy and I'm not even quite there yet.

I'm 9 days past my EDD....we charted...so I know we are past. I was hoping the full moon would do it, but nope. This is our last pregnancy, so I think my body and baby want me to enjoy the pregnancy even longer! I've had tons of contractions, but none that continue for longer than an hour. Labor vibes being sent to all those who want them!

I'm also past my date - although I expected it. I've always gone late. I'm still working 2 jobs so I'm not twiddling my thumbs and I've been too busy with the older kids and exhausted to really think too much about being past due...
I'm sure one of these days it will hit me, though!

Not in your DDC....but your baby will come!
MIL (who is very sweet but off the walls esctatic to "meet that baby", first grandchild) is coming to town (to PA from KS) around my edd, but thankfully, will be staying with relatives and we don't plan to see her much before baby comes. She just wants to be IN town when baby arrives.

Hugs. Can you ladies with mothers and nothing to do, make some menus and freezer meals for after baby is here? A couple cassaroles or something. That might be fun and super helpful for later when you have no help.

Some encouragement!!!!
Your babies will be here SOON!! I went 4 days over, was long and closed, and then went into labor and had my baby 12 hours later!
You can do it!! The one thing I did that I think helped was really just relaxing and telling my baby that I was ready but that I didn't want him to come before he was ready. Now I'm wishing he had been a little smaller, and maybe I wouldn't have torn so much....but, he's here and wonderful.

Thanks everyone for sharing.... it helps knowing I'm not the only one... I put my Mom to work today on some housework... That was helpful, and right now with each day I go over I seem to find more acceptance with this... I'm sure there is a reason for this baby waiting to come... I really wished she would have waited to come until after the baby was born, so she could enjoy her new grandchild...but she did not want to waite.... So, labor vibes are being sent to all who want them... Thanks again.

My Mom is flying in from Spain tomorrow! She's going to stay with us for 10 days!!!!! I already feel awful thinking about how bored she's going to be (we don't watch tv, are snowed in, it's freezing cold) and her first grandchild's not even born yet. I'm afraid she'll go back to Spain and I'm still going to be pregnant.
I thought I would go early too. I've done everything around the house I could possibly do and now I'm doing strange stuff to pass the time.....like cleaning the molding in the house and scrubbing walls....lol....that sounds like something a crazy person would do....I guess I've lost it.

You could try acupressure. Dh and I are going to give that a try at some point if we need to. I have a while yet.
I like that this site shows you how to do it. http://www.lifepassages.net/NaturalInduction.html

man, to all the mamas waiting, hugs from a mama who has been there not once, but both 43+ week-long pregnancies! the time that feels like it's utterly crawling right now will all of the sudden be whizzing by in a blur of sweet baby sounds and soft baby skin and yummy new baby smells and diapers and nursings and exhaustion before you know it! as difficult as it can be, try and be in the moment for these last quiet days, take time to love yourself, take nice baths, OP, have your mama rub your feet and tell you stories about when you were a baby
take naps, and play silly computer games (neave.com) even if you don't feel terribly sexy, have some sex! all the protoglandins in sperm help ripen the cervix, and it, for me anyway, was incredible toward the end of the pregnancies.
----happy birthing vibes------
