Clap your hands! (Clap hands.)
Stomp your feet! (Stomp foot.)
It is time to say good-bye to all my friends.
It is time to say good-bye to all my friends.
It is time to say good-bye,
Give a smile and wink your eye. (Smile and wink.)
It is time to say good-bye to all my friends. (Clap.)
Good bye, friends. (Wave.)

In Spanish, Adios
Take your little hand and wave by, by, bye
In Vietnamese, Cho (Jow)
Take your little hand and wave by, by, bye

Wave your hand Bye Bye

At the Waldorf kindergarten where I work as an assistant we sing,
'Time to go home, time to go home, all of the children are saying good bye/
time to go home, time to go home, we are all saying good bye...goodbye..'
At the parent and child group instead of 'we are all saying goodbye', we go round each child by name and then wave goodbye to them (ie. Cara is saying goodbye:bye Cara, Harry is saying good bye: bye Harry), and wave to each child, which the younger children really like.
It looks a bit silly written down like that and without the tune but it is very effective!

Oh it's time to say goodbye to our friends,
Oh it's time to say goodbye to our friends,
Oh it's time to say goodbye, so just smile and wink your eye,
Oh it's time to say goodbye to our friends.

Sort of to the tune of if you're happy and you know it.

Ours is really really simple.

Goodbye now, goodbye now
It's time to go, it's getting late... repeated.

The thing that makes it special is all of the children sing it while waiting to get picked up. The teacher says goodbye to each individually. She stands in the doorway, holds their hands and they jump while she sings the song.

When we were in toddler group we would always sing 'The More We Get Together' at the end.

At the end of our daughter's program, the following is sung:

Ringa - ringa - rya

Ringa - ringa - rya (first 2 lines are sung holding hands and walking in a circle)

Merry have we met and merry have we been

Merry shall we part (bring arms to chest and open arms) and merry meet again (close arms across chest).

(Waving) Good bye! Good bye!

At my DD's nursery school (and also at the parent-child group I attended a couple of years ago) we hold hands in a circle and sing...

Dear friends goodbye.
Dear friends goodbye.
Now is the time of day,
When we all go our way.

Dear friends goodbye.
Dear friends goodbye.

Go well and safely.
Go well and safely.
Go well and safely.
Our love be ever with you!

Congrats on forming a co-op! It's SO important to have community (for both the kids and the mamas)!!

I like this one b/c it's simple and easy to remember, but what's the tune?

Ok, let me try this. It's a little video of my daughter, I was asking her to do the songs but she didn't want to. You can hear me doing the song in the background. Bear in mind I am NOT a singer LOL!
Hopefully this link works.
