We think we've settled on Zoe. I thought of it a few months ago, actually, but we never really discussed names before now. Now, the hard part is the middle name. I need it to be really meaningful. Every time I look at her, I need to gain strength and peace. I have to be reminded of those things when I look in her face.

Liora - light of God
Irene/Arina - peace
Etana - strength of God
Hi Janis, I've mostly been just reading posts but I saw yhis and wanted to say Liora is beautiful! I wish I'd heard that when I was naming DD3! We have Caitlyn Leann, Ashlyn Elizabeth & Karilyn Amanda. Karilyn's middle name we gave in to because we just couldn't settle on anyhing else. The middle names are all names of family though. And only the 3rd -lyn name was on purpose, lol.

Hope all is getting better for you. You are one of the strongest people I've met in a long time.I hope you can lean on us when you need us! I'm always sitting next to my open laptop.

YAY for Zoe!!! I hope you keep it. I think its an awesome choice.

I actually prefer Zoe Irene from your choices. It flows really nicely. Liora is lovely too, but I find Zoe Liora to be a bit of a mouthful. Still lovely, but Zoe Irene is just so classic and lovely.

All of your choices are winners though

congratulations, mama, on your beautiful baby girl. I love the name Liora, if my ds had been a girl, it was on our shortlist! I only know one Liora (Leora, actually), and she is a gorgeous, wise and kind woman. I think Zoe Liora is a fantastic sounding and meaning name. Blessings and best wishes.

you might want to consider what "fits" with your other names as well. what are molly and annie's MNs? exotic like "etana" or classic like "irene"? just a thought....

I think technically Liora (or Leora you can spell it either way) means "My light" while Eliora means "God's light" In hebrew the names "Liorit" or "Orlit" are used too I believe. (Lee-or-eet)

I love Liora it was most likely going to be our girls name if we had a girl, and I'd love to see a little Zoe Liora but Zoe Irene is also beautiful.

After a 43-week-long beautiful pregnancy, our little Zoe Liora finally has a name!

She weighed 7#3oz and measured 20". She is beautiful and perfectly healthy. Her big sisters and parents are completely smitten.

Zoe means Life
Liora means My Light

She is our light and our life. May she continue to teach us patience and bring us joy every day.

My daughter is called 'Esther Rose', so I am all for that! She's an amazing child - strong willed, determined, beautiful - a Queen in so many ways. I just know that someday God will use her to do amazing things.

As for other name choices:

Alethia - means truth
Charis - grace
Elizabeth - God's promise
Celeste
Anastasia - ressurection
