I thought this was beautiful.
I imagine that God wants us to feel this way about our children, as opposed to the spank-them-in-order-to-"train them up" mentality.

I agree! Sometimes when I listen to what is said and sung at my church, I want to ask all these parents why they believe such awful things about God! The most recent one was singing a song about wanting to be acceptable to God. Are we not already? I know my daughter has been "acceptable" to me (far far beyong that, of course!) from the moment she was conceived. Hmmm.

Also, I wanted to mention that (FWIW) I don't have as much time to check in as I did, because my daughter's napping has become less frequent!
