For those who didn't do WBV's... - Page 2

We stopped doing WBV at 4 months with my DS. The first time he needed to see a doctor was at 4 years old, and we took him to urgent care (it was Sunday). They have been great, and that's where we all go if we need anything (we all had pink eye and strep this winter). We don't get asked if we have a regular ped or vax or anything. The staff is generally very nice and caring too (we even got follow up calls). I have a feeling that someday I'll need a regular doc, but now we're all pretty darn healthy.

We prefer to see a gp, in fact we see the np at his office and we love her.

We only go when we are really ill and need a dr. which is hardly ever.

I feel that if there is something wrong w/my kiddos I will know and my research/questions/etc. will be able to steer the dr in the right direction (has happened w/my health in the past) and that peds are unnecessary for my family.

No one has ever mentioned anything to me about my kids not getting reg. checkups when we do go in though.

DD1 was almost 4 before we had a need to go. We were never asked for her previous records and I never mentioned that she didn't have any. I didn't like that clinic so we switched and same thing.
