sound like mucus plug??

Friday is my due date, and I've been having some promising signs that things are moving along: cramping on & off for a few weeks, yesterday abnormal bowel movements (I always go once a day, first thing in the morning. Yesterday I went in the morning, and mid day, and the night before, which is quite unusual for me), increased leaking of the boobs.

Last night laying in bed the cramps were worse than they had been, still not really coming in waves or anything regular, but def. more strong than they had been. Woke up at 2 am freaking out about how I needed to clean the bathroom today!

Then woke up this morning feeling VERY wet down there. I reached down and came back up with a very thick egg white type consistancy on my hand, then noticed I had a little puddle of something where I had been laying - like the size of an apple in diameter. Got up and went to the bathroom and reached down to find even more egg white stuff - VERY stretchy & mucusy, then reached down again and my hand was just soaked with, well, watery stuff, not sure what that was.

Cramping is back this morning, but not as bad as last night.

WDYT this sounds like??? Just a mucus plug and I might not go into labor for another 2 weeks? Or does it sound like maybe we'll be seeing our little one sooner than later?????

Think I should call my midwife and let her know what's up? DH wants me to, but I kinda think she'll say "sounds great, call us if anything else happens"

Could be nothing much or could be show (just not bloody, mine never is). I would give your midwife a call. She may want to check on youtoday and just have a heads up that things may be happening very soon.

It sounds like some mucous plug to me. I never had bloody show with my first, but I had a lot of really watery snotty stuff in the few days before he was born. I would probably let your midwife know what is happening, just so she has a heads up that things might get going in the next few days. She may not think it's a big deal, but at least you will have said something to her.

I had similar mucous the day before I went into labor. My contractions got really regular and intense the next day, though, and I had bloody show, so those two things were better clues. Probably couldn't hurt to keep your midwife posted, though.

Yep - that's definitely the mucous plug (in my opinion ) Mine was just like that last time. I didn't have bloody show until after my water broke and labor was going. This time I am losing the mucous in small amounts. I saw more tonight so I'm hopeful something is happening. Last time I lost a big chunk 2 days before my water broke. This time is totally different though.

I also had the weird bowel movement thing. I think I had to go about 5x on Saturday. They were normal except for how often I went.

not in this group, but that sounds like how my water broke. Nothing all of a sudden, but leaking like that!

Or it could be something else. Just my experience.

Update!
I did end up calling my mw yesterday and she said it didn't really sound to her like it was my water breaking, so to just sit tight and come in for my regular appt. this morning.

Well this morning I wake up to stronger cramping, maybe even a contraction, got out of bed and went and sat on the potty, and a trickle trickle trickle came out of my va-jay jay! It lasted maybe 10 seconds and has been dribbling a tiny bit all morning. I'm going to go call my doula!! and midwife when they open up shop!

thanks ladies!! Its still trickling a bit here & there, I laughed really hard at something and I felt a lot squirt out, so i really think it's it. BUT I'm still not having any contractions, so that makes me a bit nervous about what the mw might want to do with me.

and stupid me! My appt. this morning I thought was at 10:45, we got in the car ready to leave and realized it was at 10:!5, so we missed it!! Now I'm rescheduled for 11:30.

yeah so i flunked all 3 tests, it wasn't my water breaking. back to the waiting game now
