I just found out today that my wee one flipped to breech! I so do not want a c/s again and was looking foward to labour. I have been working with a midwife, and the head of high risk ob/gyn at Mercy Medical in Baltimore. Can you believe he said he would deliver a breech baby!

Well yay for the possible breech delivery!! You should watch some breech videos. They're pretty awesome. Keep telling yourself and your baby that you can do this (while telling the baby it's ok to flip back, too. lol). Good luck!

BUT, your baby will flip

I know, I want the babe to flip back where he was! This is just really distressing to me, because my last birth was a breech c/s with the cord wrapped around her neck 5 times. I cried like a baby at the dr's office today.

Awww! I'm praying for the baby to flip and sending you positive vibes! I'm glad you're not sentenced to an automatic C/S though.

Flip baby, flip baby!!! Sending you all the flipping vibes I can! I'm so happy that you were able to find an OB willing to deliver an breech. If I may ask, what presentation is the little one? Footling, Frank etc? I'm just curious.

I'm 37 weeks with a frank breech (first child) and not having an easy go finding someone who will either let me deliver vaginally or let me go into labour spontaneously before allowing the c-section. I really am so happy for you!! Hope the baby flips, but most of all, I hope you get the birth experience you want and deserve!

Would you/they be willing to try an external version? I had great success with mine and I would think it would "stick" for a baby that was previously head down. Mine was quick, easy and painless. I guess it depends on how you feel about delivering breech -- I wasn't real excited by the idea, although there is one Atlanta area doctor that still does them .

We have a version on Thursday. I'm not at all excited about a breech delivery, but better than a c/s.

My next version is on Thursday as well. I'll send you good vibes. Are you doing anything else to flip the baby?

Good luck to those of you getting versions!! Mine was great, but I understand that some women feel a lot of pain . The doctor gave me that drug that starts with a "t" that relaxes the uterus (given to women to stop contractions). I think that helped make me uterus nice and floppy...plus, I had a decent amount of fluid. I was surprised it worked and that he stayed flipped since he was breech the whole pregnancy basically. Hugs to you guys...I know how stressful it is to be hoping against hope that baby will flip!

Have you tried spinningbabies.com? It helped to flip my first daughter. Good luck!
