Lab Work back...

Hi again! Well things are looking okay as of right now! I got my beta back last night and at 14/15 dpo, my beta is 251!! : In a way that seems a little on the high side to me, but I am not complaining by any means. Everything that I read says average at this time is 51?? What were your numbers?

My progesterone is 14.48, he says that it's fine and in normal range. However, I have read that doctors really like to see it above 18 - should I be worried?? This is right around where my progesterone was during my last pregnancy as well... I know I am probably just being paranoid, just not sure if I should be worried or not.

He wants to see me Wednesday for the repeat HCG and then again next week for another U/S. I am hesitant to do the U/S again next week - we won't really see anything yet and it just seems like it might expose the baby to too much! I know I am probably worrying over nothing, but I don't want to take any risks... what do you think?

I also had an U/S done yesterday and he confirmed that my uterus appears to be pregnant!! Nothing showing in my tubes, so that is GREAT news!

I am praying for a healthy sticky baby... not sure if I will rest easy until she's in my arms!!

Woot.

I don't know one thing about numbers. I just never paid attention to that stuff.

I know this is probably anti-MDC, but I read during my other pregnancy that there is an increased risk of fetal damage at five or more ultrasounds. Everybody has different thoughts on this. Anyway, I only allowed three - early/dating, 20 week/gender and one 30 second one for placement with my daughter. They wanted to do more, but I refused.

Did they say why they wanted another u/s?

just got my #'s too, 17 DPO, HCG 439, progesterone 41. i am taking herbs from my acupuncturist SPECIFICALLY to keep progesterone high - "warming" herbs. also go to acu. to do the same thing, keep prog. high.

i had an m/c in Nov. so i am paranoid

our numbers look good though! you could always look into chinese med/acu if you wanted to get the prog. up, though? works miracles !

Awesome numbers Deb!! So sorry about your loss - I too lost our baby at 8 weeks in the beginning of November. We can be here to support each other though!

I actually got my repeat back today and my progesterone went up to 16.8 and HCG 626.6 at 16dpo or 17dpo!!!
My doctor said as long as my progesterone is increasing he's really not worried about it... I am happy to see that it went up though - I was a bit worried!

The only time I did betas was when I was a surrogate and they higher, but it was twins. I'll be excited to see if you have one or two in there. They say betas aren't really that much of an indicator, but it's fun to speculate. Congrats on the high numbers!
