Huge NOCIRC gathering - DC - March 29th

Marilyn Milos is planning a grand celebration honoring 30 years of work by Hanny Lightfoot-Klein, Soraya Mire, and NOCIRC as well - this is an event not to be missed by intactivists.

Marilyn is holding it in conjunction with David Wilson and sicsociety around their annual march. Marilyn plans to march with David during the day of Saturday March 29th, and the NOCIRC celebration will be the evening of March 29th from 7:30 - 11:30. A wonderful evening of discussion, desserts and celebration is planned.

Held at Marriott Tysons Corner - Vienna, VA - 703-734-3200 - rooms are $109/night with a special "National Organization of Circumcision Information Resource Centers" group rate. A bunch of us will be staying there.

If you have always wanted to go to Washington to help David march - this is your year! The heads of the major genital integrity organizations will all be there - NOCIRC, DOC, ARC, ICGI...plus there will be a chance to meet the director of the newest organization - Intact America - Georganne Chapin - www.intactamerica.org.

Marilyn and others will then join David again on Sunday March 30th to march again.

This sounds like a great rate - much cheaper than what I found in VA near DC a few years ago. Will someone please tell me where Vienna is and if it's on the public transportation route?

I want to go to this so bad Too much $ for us, we thought it was going to be at the same dates that my husband's field trip to Washington (he is going to Capitol with his class not until spring break) and I was going to go to this but the dates are totally different...

Vienna is just across the river from DC and at the end of the Orange Line of the DC metro. I don't know how close that stop is to your hotel but I'd bet there is a shuttle to it if it is not a couple of blocks away. http://www.wmata.com/

I made our reservations! The hotel is right near a transit line. Its really easy, you pay a flat rate to ride all day and you can get anywhere in DC fast.

The rate is under NOCIRC or NOC...they had trouble finding it when I said the full name

I'm flying in on Saturday, will be on the lawn of the Capitol on Sunday afternoon with Hanny and Soraya, attend our celebration that evening, and on Monday, the 30th (anniversary of the FGM bill), we'll march from the Ellipse to the Capitol.

I'm a bit confused, is this a NOCIRC march at the capital? I know the original post says it's a celebration, but I cannot find the info at NOCIRC. Thanks!
